On the street

The county council runs the town's parking bays. Lewes town zone A: charges Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00. Lewes town zones B, C, D and HS: charges Mon-Sat 09:00-17:00. Lewes zone E: charges Mon-Sat 08:00-18:00 (some parts Mon-Fri). No charge on bank holidays. The county's map of the bays (April 2026).

Where this comes from

Lewes District Council's 2026 car park charges (12 May 2026) and parking page, East Sussex County Council's on-street parking, and each operator's own page, read 4 November 2026. The council's page says to pay with coins or RingGo; its map says cards too, so carry coins to be sure. Prices change: the sign at the machine is the last word.
