The line on the map
Most waypoints are the article's own grid references, converted from OSGB36 to WGS84 with an approximate Helmert transform that is good to a few metres.
The route is from Christopher Somerville (first published in The Times): read it at the source before you go (23 January 2010). The line on the map is drawn by Lewes Dogs on OpenStreetMap data (ODbL). With a dog? Lewes Dogs has this walk, with the rules and the livestock.
